Our hosts were wonderful, Rudolph and Lucia Francis took care of what we needed - had the car waiting for us on the ferry dock, and we followed them to the cottage. This year our provisions from Rite Way did not make it over on the ferry. you can walk in the water (less than 5 minutes) about waist high back to the cottage (you can see the cottage roof from the beach club beach) the beach club can provide a quick meal for you. Our hosts were attentive, kind, and took care of anything and everything that came up. The beach was huge and stretched both ways for miles. The location was very remote, but convenient enough to get to any restaurant or beach we wanted anywhere on the island in less than 15 minutes. Our restaurant has friendly and efficient staff who serve breakfast through dinner daily. when we had to leave Anegada, Mr. Francis was on the ferry and was very helpful even after checkout - horrific rain all the way to Tortola and he waited with me for the luggage upon unloading and helped me to the ferry terminal - thanx so much!!!! It also had an enormous TV in the livingroom! The club let us use their facilities free of charge- it was slow season so i don't know if this would always apply but the invitation was welcome.
The beach isn't what it used to be, there was severe erosion, but you can put a lounger on the upper "edge" and then there are steps down to the water (a hand rail would be a good addition here!) We stayed at Anegada Beach Club and it was such a great place to stay. There are lounge chairs, an outdoor eating area and grill, and some wonderful hanging chairs with views of the beautiful turquoise water. You can't go wrong at Keel Point CottagesWe spent a marvelous ten days on Anegada at Keel Point Cottages. He is always there to take care of any need you have have. Can't wait to return! Experience "Glamping" in our Beachfront Palapa Retreats for one night or ten. AC only in the bedrooms which was fine but the rain and breezes didn't always cooperate for the main living area (rain would blow in in the evening so you had to close the windows) could be improved with a ceiling or standing floor fan, but this was MINOR. The beach area was a good walk from the beach club. Rudolph called Rite Way and had all our provisions on the next ferry up.Just got back from Anegada.
