This is without a doubt the most cinematic and outrageous album I’ve ever done. What's the point of the later albums in the timeline telling us about the Alphan's ability to change their ways if we already knew that they failed to do so, not once, but twice, or three times (since Humans are descendants of them)? That might also explain two ayreon albums in a row!Less metal than The Source (as a side note, Arjen says everything he does is usually a reaction to the previous album, so I'd expect this to be musically quite different to The Source - it's very surprising that he'd do two Ayreon albums in a row in the first place).
