The default is off.I use no external flash.
This is – after quite a bit of faffing, manual leafing and googling – just how I’ve chosen to configure mine.

As someone who doesn’t use the touchscreen 95% of the time but can’t stand the thought of not having access to it if I need it immediately this allows quick access while completely eliminating the “nose touch” issue!Fn2 set to activate the digital levelGood Job, Hamish… the only button I use on my X100S is [Fn], where I keep the ISO… but the V is on the way ;))Fortunately, Fuji have made it so you can select the amount of options on that screen…The Selector for ISO Auto Setting is useful, because unless I’m shooting landscape I let the camera choose the ISO, but I like to set the boundaries depending on the lighting conditions, with Auto 2 being the default:Finally, as I also said at the beginning, please do feel free to comment below with anything you have set up differently!The default setting for the front and rear command dials.Right!!
The image magnification for the electronic rangefinder mode offers more precise manual focus control. In the screen settings menu elsewhere, I have also switched off ‘Autorotate displays’. The bottom two images is the same setup using the near focus distance wide open on the X100F.
