This blu-ray version gives the classic animation beautiful depth with the richest of colors. But yeah, it's just "futuristic." The Jetsons is an American animated sitcom produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions.It originally aired in prime time from September 23, 1962, to March 17, 1963, then later in syndication. If you love the Jetsons and Hanna Barbera cartoons as well as I do you will be most pleased with this blu-ray release. Although they drive in flying cars and have fully functional robots, the Jetsons still suffer the everyday troubles that plague modern families. I got this for my grand children to watch.
