The Strange and Terrible Confluence of St. Patrick's Day and St. Jean Luc Picard Day

iFretNot.com does WonderCon in Anaheim, CA. Headline news n' stuff.

Scuttlebutt around the station says that this is some sort of conspirational test run for stealing the San Diego Comic-Con, and I suppose a small part of me wanted to attend in a Spider Jerusalem, steaming-genitals-of-truth kind of way.

I live in San Diego and the drive to Anaheim is not normally a frightening one. This St. Patrick's day of 2012 was a beer of another color. Green.

iFretNot is going to Anaheim in March!

Good news for people who love good news! We will be covering the madness at WonderCon and reporting every hot minute of sweaty, stale, jedi.

My lovely photographer Amanda will be with me to capture all the sights, we might even have an audio recorder for sounds, and if futurama has taught us anything it's that smells can be recorded, too. Look for the latter sometime later this century.

Comic-Con 2011 is officially over; the storm has receded and all we are left with is the high-water mark and the nagging suspicion that it was all in your head. After all, the trolley-masters of San Diego aren't REALLY fluent in klingon, are they? Scantily clad women don't ACTUALLY want to hang out with overweight, sweaty and stale jedi, do they? I have this idea that if you go around to strip clubs during comic-con you will only find their "b-list" dancers because the vendors all hired the "a-team" (sorry, Mr. T).
